Charles Converse Sculpture

Charles Converse has a twenty seven year career as a plastic surgeon in the Annapolis, Maryland area. In 2000 he retired to South Carolina and knew he wanted to create sculptures. For several years he has enjoyed his workshops and seminars. His creations include figures, animals and birds. As a realist his knowledge of anatomy has been extremely helpful in his sculpting. The three-dimensional aspects of sculpting allow the artist to look at the entire subject. It also allows creation of shadows which is what sculpting is about. Enjoy his diversified portfolio of art.
